Embryo is seeking an experienced Affiliate Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing affiliate programs and developing relationships with affiliate partners for clients. The Affiliate Manager will work closely with the PPC team to ensure the success of affiliate campaigns.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage affiliate partnerships to drive revenue and increase brand awareness for clients.
  • Identify and recruit new affiliates, manage onboarding and activation, and maintain relationships with existing affiliates.
  • Monitor and analyse affiliate performance and adjust campaigns accordingly.
  • Provide regular reports on affiliate program performance to management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to optimise campaigns and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Manage affiliate program budget, negotiate rates with affiliates, and ensure timely payments. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in affiliate marketing.

 

Specification and Skills

  • Desirable – At least 3 years of experience in affiliate marketing, with a proven track record of driving revenue and managing successful programs
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Experience managing budgets and forecasting revenue
  • Familiarity with affiliate tracking platforms and tools, such as Awin & Impact.
  • Good understanding of the entire marketing journey, and how affiliate marketing assists other channels.

Strategic Leadership
Develop and communicate the overall affiliate marketing strategy in alignment with Embryo’s marketing goals, execute and refine the vision for the department’s growth and manage the department’s performance.

Decision Making & Team Management
You should be confident in making important decisions that dictate the direction of the department with the ability to autonomously manage the affiliate department and make decisions to maximise its growth and performance.
You will be confident in managing various skill levels and abilities within an affiliate team, leading and managing your team’s progression.

Knowledge
Extensive knowledge of both e-commerce and lead generation affiliate management with the ability to lead and deliver on large clients with large affiliate networks and budgets. Ability to develop long-term affiliate marketing strategies for clients and the department to dictate the direction of Embryo’s affiliate strategy.

Client communication
Confidently handle client communications with affiliate partners, negotiate well to benefit the clients and liaise with partners to build strong relationships. Ability to convey complex ideas and strategies towards clients to maximise performance.

Skillset
You are skilled at using multiple affiliate networks and additional third-party tools to maximise insights and optimisation. Strong at auditing and proposing pre-existing affiliate partners to win new business. Confidently forecast performance and identify trends to capitalise on further conversions. Negotiate with affiliate networks to gain favourable terms for large clients. You will have the ability to create advanced reporting and CPAi modelling to highlight actionable insights for both internal stakeholders and affiliates. You will have a strong ability to assess the profitability of clients both for the client and the agency, having complete ownership of the department P&L.

Senior Affiliate Manager

Knowledge
Extensive knowledge of both e-commerce and lead generation affiliate management with the ability to lead and deliver on large clients with large affiliate networks and budgets. You will have the ability to develop long-term affiliate marketing strategies for clients and the department to dictate the direction of Embryo’s affiliate strategy.

Client communication
Confidently handle client communications with affiliate partners, utilising your negotiation skills to benefit the clients and liaise with partners to build strong relationships. You will have the ability to convey complex ideas and strategies towards clients to maximise performance.

Management
You are experienced in managing affiliate programs for large clients and managing/mentoring junior team members. Your day will include providing guidance to upskill other members of the affiliate team.

Skillset
You will be skilled at using multiple affiliate networks and additional third-party tools to maximise insights and optimisation. Strong at auditing and proposing pre-existing affiliate partners to win new business. With a solid ability to forecast performance, you will identify trends to capitalise on further conversions. Successfully negotiate with affiliate networks to gain favourable terms for large clients. Ability to create advanced reporting and CPAi modelling to highlight actionable insights for both internal stakeholders and affiliates.

 

Affiliate Manager

Knowledge
Full comprehensive knowledge of both e-commerce and lead generation affiliate management with the ability to lead and deliver on medium-sized clients with large affiliate networks and budgets.

Client communication
Confidently handle client communications with affiliate partners including negotiation skills to benefit the clients and liaise with partners to build strong relationships.

Management
Run training sessions for the department and the wider team. Contribute to upskilling the department by acting as a support for the Junior team members, assisting them with any issues.

Skillset
You should be skilled at using multiple affiliate networks and Google Analytics for reporting, creating and delivering new business audits and proposals – including pitch meetings.
